We've adapted the Fair Hiring materials to be interactive and engaging for the classroom.

These presentations cover:

  • Who are the migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong?

  • Why do they come here?

  • What role do employment agencies play in migration?

  • What happens when a worker is overcharged recruitment fees?

We do this with interactive storytelling of the experiences of two domestic workers when charged unfair recruitment fees. The students summarise what they've learned and their thoughts in a worksheet and go away with two actions:

  • Talk to people about what I've learned

  • Say thank you to the domestic workers around me
